During the summer of 2020, the Portland Rose Festival parade was cancelled due the pandemic. The idea of a porch parade was promoted. We decided to decorate our porch with a Paris theme.

This began a series of temporary porch and yard displays that we put out every other month or so. In the summer of 2021, we decided to create a display about native slugs and snails, and made it go with the Paris theme. In 2022, we decided to add mushrooms found in Oregon.

We will bring it out every year (unless we don't 😉).
