Hetjukeppni

Hetjukeppni is Icelandic for Contest of Heroes, a very fitting name for this particular tournament. This will be a true crucible tournament testing the fitness, mettle and fortitude of the combatants. 

The Format:

Hetjukeppni will be fought as a Valhalla tournament; in this case fought as a mass melee of single combats.

The combatants keep wounds as normal until they are defeated. Once defeated, a combatant leaves the lyst field, but pays attention to the fate of the warrior who bested them; for when this person is in turn bested, all the combatants they have defeated re-enter the lysts. This means that the victor must defeat every combatant in turn.

• Open to any currently authorised armoured combatant

• The tournament will follow the usual customs, traditions and conventions of the Kingdom of Lochac for armoured combat

• Fought in four rounds (depending upon numbers, maybe eight rounds)

• The victor of each round goes to the finals

• If a combatant wins more than one round they nominate another warrior to join them in the finals

• Semi finals are fought as a best of three bouts - the third will only be fought if needed

• The final will be fought until three consecutive victories have been achieved

• Double kills will count as a loss for both combatants (Both combatants re-enter immediately along with anyone else they have bested)

• No duct tape repairs, brand names or obvious mundanity will be accepted on the field at the start of the tournament

• All Combatants are requested and encouraged to display as much personal heraldry as they are able and inclined to
