Family and Community Engagement Unit supports school efforts to implement family engagement activities that prioritize partnerships with parents for the benefit of children's learning and achievement.

The Family Academy is designed to leverage families’ assets to be empowered as they support their child from the early primary years to college and career success. This effort will complement family knowledge by connecting them to actionable learning focused on their child’s development, as well as opportunities to accelerate their own careers and quality of livelihood.

Participants will have access to Know Your Rights information, immigration resources, and the opportunity to connect with organizations collaborating with our campaign, LAUSD 2025: We Are One.

Political elections often bring about potential changes that may raise feelings of uncertainty, concern, fear, anger, and sadness for many students and families. This presentation will offer parents and caregivers strategies and resources to support their well-being in this post-election climate, and foster resilience in unpredictable times. Participants will have access to Know Your Rights information, immigration resources, and the opportunity to connect with organizations collaborating with our campaign, LAUSD 2025: We Are One.
The Family Guide is an actionable tool to help parents understand key pillars of the Strategic Plan. This guide equips parents to engage in powerful conversations with school and district leaders to ensure schools are meeting goals for students. In order to achieve the ambitious academic and social emotional goals set forth in the Strategic Plan, parents must be engaged as partners.
The contents of this guide are rooted in parent voice and has been designed in partnership with parents, principals and District administration.

La Guía para Familias es una herramienta basada en la voz de los padres, diseñada para ayudar a las familias a comprender lo que se describe en el Plan Estratégico 2022-26 del LAUSD. Los padres y tutores desempeñan un papel único y fundamental para asegurarse de que los estudiantes tengan lo que necesitan para prosperar en la escuela y más allá.
