ABOUT

About LDMS

The Lightweight Distributed Metric Service (LDMS) provides an unprecedented ability to collect system data at resolutions necessary for detecting features and events of interest and to respond on meaningful timescales.

Key features include:

  • No significant application impact - LDMS has been implemented with optimized data structures, a small bounded footprint, and efficient transport mechanisms

  • Synchronized system-wide data snapshots - enable coherent whole-system data analysis

  • Flexible transport topology, with high fan-in - LDMS can collect and transport data on large node-count systems

  • Adding collectors and directing data to your stores is easy

  • Platform independent - LDMS can run on all *nix OS

LDMS is available open source at https://github.com/ovis-hpc/ovis
