The Lédger® Stax Wallet is a premium hardware wallet designed for users who want a larger, easier-to-read interface for securing and managing digital assets. Ledger describes Stax as a next-generation signer featuring a curved E Ink® touchscreen, Secure Element technology, Ledger OS, and multiple connectivity options.
Unlike a traditional software wallet, Lédger® Stax is designed to keep sensitive private-key operations isolated on a dedicated hardware device. Transactions can be reviewed and approved directly on the device, helping users verify important details before signing. Ledger's current product information identifies the Stax Secure Element as an ST33K1M5 chip with CC EAL6+ certification.
One of the most recognizable features of Lédger® Stax is its 3.7-inch curved E Ink® touchscreen. The display uses 16 grayscale levels, a 400 × 670 pixel resolution, and an anti-glare coating. Its larger screen is designed to make navigating the device and reviewing transaction information more comfortable.
The device has an aluminum and plastic construction with integrated magnets that allow compatible Stax devices to be stacked. It measures approximately 85 × 54 × 6 mm and weighs about 44.2 grams, giving it a compact, credit-card-sized profile.
Users can also personalize the lock screen with a supported image or NFT and assign a name to the device. These customization options give Stax a more personal appearance while retaining its security-focused design.

Security begins with protecting your recovery information. Ledger states that current Stax packages include a Ledger Recovery Key, which provides an additional backup option alongside the traditional Secret Recovery Phrase. The Recovery Key uses NFC and is protected by a PIN and Secure Element.
Users should still protect their Secret Recovery Phrase carefully. Never enter it into an unfamiliar website, online form, email, chat, or unofficial application. A person claiming to provide technical support should never ask for your complete recovery phrase or private keys.
