Lédger® Live Staking allows users with compatible Ledger hardware wallets to explore staking opportunities for supported Proof-of-Stake cryptocurrencies. Ledger's current app is branded Ledger Wallet, formerly Ledger Live. Through its Earn section, users can review eligible assets, compare available options, and track staking rewards.
Staking involves committing eligible crypto to help support a blockchain network. In return, participants may receive network rewards. Ledger currently supports staking for assets including ETH, SOL, DOT, ATOM, TRX, and others, although availability can vary by asset, provider, and region.
To begin, create an account for a supported cryptocurrency in Ledger Wallet and transfer the desired assets to your Ledger account. Open the Earn section, select an available staking opportunity or validator, choose the amount, and confirm the transaction directly on your Ledger hardware device.
One important advantage is self-custody. Ledger states that your private keys remain secured on your hardware device when staking through Ledger Wallet. However, staking involves risks, including changing rewards, validator performance, network conditions, fees, and possible unbonding periods. Rewards are not guaranteed.
Security Notice: Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase, PIN, or private keys with anyone. Always verify staking transactions on your physical Ledger device.
