Within the Linguistics Department, I am an academic advisor for undergraduate majors and minors, with an average of 40 advisees per year. I am involved in coordinating events at the department and college level, including a recent series in Spring 2022 called "CogSci& Coffee: Cognitive Science for Everyone" which was funded by an interdisciplinary award from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

I also contribute to my field as an ad hoc reviewer for journal articles, conference abstracts, and grant proposals.

As part of outreach to the broader community, I recently gave a talk to the Boys & Girls Club of Newark, NJ titled "What is linguistics?" (Fall 2022). I also am part of the team that helps host the annual event for high schoolers, the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad (NACLO). Our most recent open round was hosted in January 2023.
