Where do you meet?
We meet at Lutheran Church of Our Savior: 5825 Bollinger Road, Cupertino, California, 95014.
What is your schedule and calendar?
We meet on Wednesdays from 9 am to 3 pm, from the end of August through mid-May. For the exact schedule and calendar for the upcoming/current school year, please contact us by submitting an interest form.
Can we participate in just one of your classes?
HTD is not an individual class provider. We seek to build a community of Christian homeschool families supporting each other in various ways. We do not require participating all day (especially families with young children and high schoolers with other classes), but we aim to build relationships over multiple shared activities, including class(es), chapel, lunch, and playtime.
Can my family participate if we are not Lutheran?
Yes, we have many participants who are members of other Christian denominations. Homeschool Together Day is offered and managed by Lutheran Church of Our Savior (LCOS), a member church of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod (LCMS), and all religious and worldview-related teachings shall follow and not deviate from the teachings of LCOS. But there is no requirement to be a member of an LCMS congregation nor to hold personal beliefs in full agreement with the LCMS.
Our weekly chapel services contain biblical teaching, prayers, hymns, and liturgy based on the Lutheran confession of faith. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the beliefs of the LCMS if you are interested in participating in HTD:
How can I apply and/or find out more?
We are eager to find families who share our purpose! Please submit an interest form, and one of the HTD leaders will contact you with more information. If we have openings in the relevant age groups, we will invite you to visit (usually in the spring).
After you visit, you may apply for the following school year by completing an application, an interview, and a background check for the participating parent (required for insurance purposes). Please note that HTD is able to accommodate a maximum of 25 families for 2025-2026, so we may not be able to accept all interested families. Priority will be given to families that can fill our most urgent teaching needs.
