We created FREE self-guided tours that are available to download on your phone through the app PocketSights. The tours are curated, with the Licking County community in mind, to showcase some of the important, unique and historical points of interest of our county. Our goal is to provide you with an authentic experience that gives you confidence and direction to explore and discover the places around you while learning about local history and culture.
Licking County Recreational Trails
There is power in nature. No place is that more evident than the hills and flats of Licking County. Acres of native maples and pines live out their lives along the hilltops of the glacial valley, watching the comings and goings on the flat streets of the valley floor. In harmony, nature grows around the brick and mortar. There is a path, though, and it's been thoughtfully curated for all of us. Our pathway extends into the glory of our nature and our bricks, as they live together as one.
Pathfinder Routes
The Pathfinder Routes are a series of themed recreational driving routes winding throughout Licking County. They are scenic in nature and connect many of our towns and villages. There a total of five routes named according to their themes. Each Route highlights unique sites while taking you down the road less traveled.
Buckeye Lake
Buckeye Lake has all kinds of activities - family water sport fun to girls’ night out! Get a tee-time on one of the nearby golf courses, go fishing, rent a boat/kayak, hang out at the beach or take a bike ride. So many ways to enjoy the lake, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect recreation for your mood.
