District 13 Public Information Officer:

First Sergeant Kris Graves

Sergeant Kris Graves was appointed as an Indiana State Trooper in December of 2011. In 2021 he was promoted to Senior Trooper after being in the agency for 10 years. During those 10 years, he worked as a detective for the Criminal Investigations Section, a SWAT Operator for the SWAT Team, a canine officer, and served as a field training officer. In 2023, he was appointed as the Lowell District Public Information Officer and First Sergeant shortly after. First Sergeant Graves is still part time with all of his previous units on top of being the PIO. He also serves as the squad sergeant of the All-Crimes Policing Squad for the Lowell District.
