Use the G-E-T steps.

1. Open with a greeting:  say hello or hi.
   Then, introduce yourself if you meet someone for the first time.

2. Elaborate (sustain a conversation)
   Ask for opinions and give opinions. You can either agree, disagree or partially agree with opinions. 
   Provide justifications for your agreement.
   Ask for information and give information.
   Use wh-questions - how, who, what, where, when and which.

3. End with taking leave by saying:
   I need to go now, see you again.
   I am afraid that I have to go now, bye.
   I have a class at 10 am. See you later. Bye.
