The Luso-Brazilian meeting in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics is a workshop conceived by the groups of Mathematical Physics at Universidade de Lisboa and the community of theoretical high-energy physicists at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Recife in order to build prolific scientific relations between them. In addition to the initial purpose, the meeting now aims at gathering in Recife scientists working in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics at an international level and with particular ties to Brazil and/or Portugal in order to stimulate collaborations and create new research opportunities. A primary task of this meeting is also to provide the Brazilian graduate students, with particular emphasis on the ones from Pernambuco and the North-Eastern regions, with the concrete opportunity to attend a workshop with leading experts in the field and to network among each other.

The LBTMP24 is organized into 5 days of talks and discussions that will take place at the main auditorium of Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) in Recife. The typical day is structured with an introductory talk and a research talk every morning, followed by a brain-storming discussion session in the afternoon, guided by one of the organizers and themed on the topic of the morning.
The LBTMP24 is organized into 5 days of talks and discussions that will take place at the main auditorium of Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) in Recife. Along with that, we plan to have a free afternoon Cheers and Culture with a trip to Olinda, where the participants will have the chance of mixing moments of work with the enjoyment of the history, architecture and cultural traditions of Pernambuco region.
