For our first Mental Health Day, we collaborated with Pro-skater and Mental Health Advocate, John Gardner and Skate Jawn Magazine. We gifted 500 copies of John's Deep Rest Zine to middle school students. For elementary, we had each class create their own mental health zine.
Our annual Autism Week (AAW23)! We don't believe in "Practice Makes Perfect" as nothing is perfect but we do believe in progress and trying your best.
We had our first ADHD Awareness and Acceptance Day! We collaborated with Creative Flow Arts and did an after school button activity. This activity was a lot of fun and we cranked out a lot of buttons!
Our annual Autism Week (AAW22)! When we plan our annual autism weeks, we collaborate with our school's Principal. This theme was our Principal's idea and we loved it. We feel it's important to "keep going and keep growing."

Yoga Day! We brought 10 certified yoga instructors and they taught the kids how to OM and Namaste
More members joined our team! The theme was on Anti-Bullying, promoting kindness, and autism awareness. We added a skit, orchestrated by Student Council on 3 major topics of bullying: cyber, physical/emotional, and how to be friends with someone who has autism for the 5th graders. Some of our teachers incorporated their own curriculum, bringing in a family guest speaker with autism. Decorated the teachers lounge, and their classroom walls. 908 Magazine's, John Grossi interviewed Cubberley and the LBC Hero Squad. Shortly after that, we were acknowledged by Councilwoman, Stacy Mungo. Then invited to City Hall to receive recognition and a proclamation for our autism efforts by, Mayor Robert Garcia.
Cubberley's Inaugural Autism Awareness Week. We raised money at Cubberley's annual Carnival booth to fund our debut. We decorated the school in blue, provided a curriculum for faculty and students to promote autism awareness and kindness.
