Effects of Environmental Change
The human population has evolved the planet’s environment for more than 3000 years. From just rocks and stones, to early villages, to civilizations. Empires, wars, technology, to what we are today. Society has ruined parts of the Earth such as natural habitats, oceans, forests, and made those places to landfills, wastelands, and places that made living things endangered, on the run, helpless.
It is a good thing that there are rescuers, researchers who can help these living things to reproduce and still live a life that they want.
The effects of changes in the environment are brutal and barbaric. Highways have made animals restrict themselves, open to predators and vehicles, that they might die. Humanity has made a way to make things easier for them, not easier for animals and living things.
We sometimes drain the land of its waters to make buildings and houses. Imagine the life in the water, they can’t breathe anymore because of our wrong doings. We burn forests, for lumber and materials to use. The bird nests, rabbit burrows, they burn to the ground, no one rescuing them. It’s truly something that they don’t clean out the houses and put them in animal care. Or maybe they do, maybe they don’t.
Vehicles and airplanes pollute the air with gases, making the birds and other animals suffocate. Factories fill the land with oils and substances that poison the land, letting it wither and die.
When the prey’s homes, for example a deer, is destroyed, they are now vulnerable to many predators out there. Overhunting can decrease the animal population. Humans now hunt the predators who hunt for prey, such as wolves, bears, and lions.
Humans are not the only ones who affect the environment. Natural disasters such as floods, storms, forest fires, and earthquakes can affect the world around us too. When the water brought by the flood infects crops, it might suck all that water, it will get bloated. When the land is too dry, plants will wilt and dry and die from no water.
The causes of these horrible evolutions are things that reality made us do. We need a home, so we chop down trees for lumber. Deforestation is the problem that we humans have been causing, and if we keep on doing this action, our air will become polluted and there will be not that much to breathe anymore. Human activities release a large amount of toxins to the environment. These toxins that they release might seep into the trees, making the trees suffocate.
Volcanic eruptions are such of the natural causes that destroy the planet. Volcanic eruptions give out magma, ash, and lava, three things that ruin the surrounding. Magma are hot rocks that the volcanos spit out during the eruption itself. Considering that there is an island around the volcano, the magma will hit those parts of said island. Believing that there are living things on the island, animals and plants, getting hit by the released magma balls, of course the life on that island will suffer for ash rains and lava. The water life will be polluted with smog and wildlife rescuers will take a long time to get there. And if there are a lot of animals on the island, it will take a long time for the rescue party to evacuate the animals.
To slim the chances of the death of animals, rescuers and researchers should install camps in areas where animals are most vulnerable to protect the wildlife. If they have a station there, the animals will be evacuated and rescued safely and in an orderly manner. When we are using this action, the researchers and the animals will both be safe at the same time. Therefore, those people and animals, will not die nor will they become extinct.
Why do we need to do these?
Well, that is a very good question. Why do we need to do these actions? It’s really simple. We need to do the actions because the animals need us to do so. I’m still young, I’m turning twelve years old next year. I have a lot of dreams, but I still focus on other beings. It can be nice as a wildlife explorer one day, or a historian. The animals and the living things that we might find in these disasters might become extinct if we don’t do anything. These animals are important to some people’s life. The animals and plant life are some of the main things to biology, to the life of studies. If we lose that kind of information, we might not know what is next. I want to dedicate my life to research, but there is more than that. I want to save the wildlife. That is what I want to do.
The human society has scarred the world and it is our job to protect the extinct animals and living things. If we don’t help in this movement, we don’t get anymore cute fox pictures. Haha, just kidding. But still, its really important that we do what we need to do for the living things. In a way, they are just like us. They are things who reproduce and live with a family. They eat, they drink. They even bathe and groom themselves. They are just like us, but they are more vulnerable. They live their lives in fear of getting slaughtered. Because of us. Its wrong. And you know it as well as I do that we are getting carried away of being killers of the wildlife. Even the trees are scared. I once read a book about 4 royals, who rule a land. They took care of it, the animals could even speak! Even spoke to the trees. The leaves danced around the wind, the branches swaying along with them. Until one day, the kingdom next to theirs suddenly started to take over their land. The trees were chopped down, the animals got slaughtered. The dwarves and trolls hid in caves in fear. The land has lost its beauty. And I feel like that is our situation now. I like the life of living with the fairies and the moors. But now, I see skyscrapers and large buildings around me. Its nothing like in my dreams.
