I am a Ph.D candidate (ABD) in the department of Political Science at Emory University and Graduate Assistant in the Democracy Program at the Carter Center. I am a scholar of comparative political economy and development. I study democratic institutions, electoral accountability, state capacity, development, corruption, and political methodology. My dissertation leverages field work and statistical data from Africa, and early-stage projects use experimental methods and formal models. As a graduate assistant, I conduct collaborative research on electoral integrity and accountability. Parts of my research projects are funded by J-PAL.
Before joining Emory University, I served as the Associate Director of Research at the Institute for Empirical Research in Political Economy in Benin. I hold an M.Sc. in Economics and Mathematics from the African School of Economics and a B.Sc. in Economics and Statistics from the Université d'Abomey-Calavi in Benin.
