Welcome to my webpage. I am Laxmipriya Pati, a theoretical physics researcher, still in the learning process of becoming an independent researcher. I received my PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, University of Tartu, Estonia, on 26 March 2025. 

I am working on the modifications of general relativity, specifically, their geometric modifications, such as:

• generalizing the Ricci scalar by replacing an arbitrary function

• introducing an extra scalar field nonminimally coupled to gravity

• or by replacing two other geometric fundamental objects, torsion and nonmetricity, instead of curvature, and their generalization 

in the gravity theories to understand the early and late dynamical evolution of our Universe and to delve into dark energy and dark matter, as well as confront theoretical predictions with recent observations.
