2) Adverse Possession and limitation-In terms of Article 65 of the Limitation Act, the starting point of limitation would commence from the date of defendant’s possession becoming adverse and not from the date when the right of ownership is acquired by the plaintiff. 1) Adverse Possession-Hon’ble Apex Court in the case of Ravinder Kaur (supra) had held that - “… Once Title or interest is acquired it can be used as a sword by the plaintiff as well as a shield by the defendant within ken of Article 65 of the Act and any person who has perfected title by way of adverse possession, can file a suit for restoration of possession in case of dispossession…” 22 (2019) 9 SCC 369 23 (2014) 1 SCC 669 & AIR 2020 SC 3799
