The Wellbeing Team knows that Students care about what happens to their private information and we want Students to feel comfortable to talk about their concerns in a safe environment. We spend time with each Student talking about their confidentiality and what it really means, including safe storage of counselling notes & sharing general information with the other Counsellor/Psychologist for continuity of care.
The Wellbeing Team have a duty of care to keep Students safe which means there are limits on a Student's confidentiality where their private information will need to be shared with other safe adults, especially when there are safety risks to themselves or others.
The Wellbeing Team remain 100% transparent in this process, and will endeavor to work alongside Students to plan what information is being shared and who it is being shared with before any action is taken.
The Wellbeing Team require all students and/or parents to sign our Consent to Student Wellbeing Counselling Service form before counselling sessions can continue.
If you would like a copy of the LP12C consent form, please contact us at the school.
