The emergence of Google's Chromebook as a centerpiece of classroom education nationwide is exemplified by the excuses students have offered for incomplete work, technology repair shop owner Justin Millman said.

While many classrooms have come to depend on Chromebooks, the products have shown a tendency to malfunction or fail within a handful of years for reasons unrelated to user treatment, critics told ABC News. On top of that, the Chromebooks are difficult to repair, generating harmful waste, imposing significant replacement costs and disrupting student learning, they added.

We have Lenovo tablets for our kids and they are linked to my Google Family. Each child has a gmail account setup through the Family Link app and then that is used to sign-in on the tablet. Once they are on the tablet you put the Family Link app on there and then you can add their classroom account to that. I apologize if this isn't the best place for it, but I really don't know where else to ask these questions. I have several issues I'm trying to find solutions for. For context, I work in an ASD/SPED classroom with 12 students. There are two paraprofessionals, of which I am one, working under one teacher. The district provides Samsung Chromebooks to all students as part of the curriculum, Lexia and ST Math in particular. Please bear in mind that these are all children on the autistic spectrum. For them stimming and fixating is very real and when I say some of them will spend 15 minutes or more doing something like opening new tabs, even if they can't get anywhere, I mean that literally.
