Hi-Fi Recorder is an application to record on your mobile phone or tablet with a configurable sound quality. You can get an awesome sound or a small file size, depending on your needs.

The audio codec used for this application is AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) whose use is more and more widespread and is an improved evolution of the well-known MP3 since with the same bitrate it achieves much better sound quality.

The following tables shows the audio parameters that are assigned with each quality preset:

The microphone that will be used in each case will be the one assigned by default by the phone or tablet.

(*) In the case of selecting Direct Stereo, an attempt will be made to force the use of the microphones that the equipment uses for video recordings. This will allow recording in stereo in many cases, however not all devices respond the same to this application requirement and therefore different results can be obtained on different devices.

All Lauresprojects audio applications have been tested on different devices to ensure that the correct parameters are used to obtain the expected results regardless of brands or operating systems.
