President: Fall 2019 - Spring 2021
Member: Fall 2018 - Spring 2019
As president of the American Chemical Society (ACS), I rehabilitated the formerly inactive ACS Chapter together with the help and recruitment of other passionate board members. I also orchestrated the first and second annual tri-organizationally hosted “Chemistry and Biochemistry Professional Development Networking Night” with the American Society of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (ASBMB) and AXΣ (Alpha Chi Sigma) co-ed professional chemistry fraternity.
Furthermore, I helped pioneer the launch of our organization's paid chemistry and biochemistry tutoring for the department to meet three goals:
Help fundraise money to support chapter activities and events.
Provide assistance for students who struggle with chemistry and biochemistry classes, especially with upper-level courses (biochemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic, etc) for which there are currently insufficient resources and support
Provide students wishing to get experience in tutoring to be able to do so through our chapter, and help others.

Undergraduate Member: Fall 2020 - Spring 2021
As an undergraduate member of the CMNS D & I council, I worked with the rest of the council members to:
Assess our climate, as experienced by different members of our community, and learn about areas of concern and opportunities for growth;
Take stock of current activities in the college and assess what’s most effective, what should be replicated, and how the college can both foster these efforts and broaden participation;
Explore the activities currently happening in other campus units and other universities that enhance diversity and create a more inclusive STEM community; and
Advise the dean and senior leaders in the college on short-term and longer-term actions and initiatives that would better embody and strategically advance our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
August 2019
I welcomed new students (transfers and freshmen) to the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the second annual Clark LEAD Orientation Event. I facilitated discussion on diversity and inclusion, and strengths-based teams during the orientation event.
The purpose of ClarkLEAD is to foster an engineering community that is united, respectful, safe, inclusive, accountable and empowered and open to growth in order to Mpact society. Our hope is that students who participate in ClarkLEAD:
Begin to develop a sense of connectedness to their peers and the Clark School community.
Identify strategies to facilitate respectful and inclusive learning environments.
Learn to articulate and capitalize on individual strengths and productively apply them in team settings.
