How will I get to the wedding?
You can use the google map on the Location page, and expand it to get directions.
We have been able to put on transport for those staying locally, however, we’re sorry to say that due to a lack of numbers in any one area, we are not able to offer transport from longer distances to or from the venue.
What time do I need to arrive?
Day Guests - 12:30PM.
Evening Guests - 7:00PM.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking onsite.
What accommodation is available?
We have held all of the rooms at two hotels in Biggar.
Please see the Accommodation page, where you can let us know if you want to book a room at either.
How will I get to and from my local hotel?
There will be a shuttle bus available at the end of the night which will take people from the venue back to Biggar High Street or the Tinto Hotel. It's a short 5 minute journey, but not one you'd like to walk in the dark. The bus will arrive at midnight and do 1 or 2 shuttles to Biggar/Tinto.
There will also be a pre-paid taxi available from 6pm till midnight to get people up to the venue from their local hotel, or back to their local hotel if you need to leave early, or are staying locally, but further away from the Biggar High Steet or Tinto Hotel. We will provide the telephone number right here in the week before the wedding. Please feel free to tip the driver.
We don't have any plans at the moment to arrange transport from Biggar or the Tinto Hotel to the venue at the beginning of the day.
Can we bring our children?
As much as we would love to have everybody's children there, it just isn't possible.
Please leave your little ones at home - unless they have an invitation of their own.
Will the wedding, dinner and reception all be at Cornhill Castle?
Yes. The whole day will be in the same location.
Where's the bar?
There are two bars. The function suite bar and the Ghillie bar.
PLEASE NOTE: both of the bars are card only, and will not accept cash.
Make sure to grab a welcome drink on us when you arrive.
Will the ceremony be inside or outside?
Our ceremony will be indoors.
What will the weather be like that time of year?
July is the best month for weather in Biggar, but it is Scotland...!
Are the ceremony and reception rooms accessible?
Yes, the wedding is all on one level on the ground floor
Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options for dinner?
Yes, we plan to have options available.
We will ask for details on your RSVP when we send formal invitations.
Do I need need to submit menu choices in advance?
No. There will be a choice of meals on the day.
It is important to let us know about dietary requirements on your RSVP so we can cater for these.
What time will the reception end?
Midnight, 12:00 AM.
