Laura is a pianist, researcher and community musician from Barcelona, based in London since 2019.

As a performer and researcher, she is undertaking a doctoral research project at the Royal College of Music, which is starting to introduce the public to lesser-known interwar female composers and their works, by recovering manuscript scores, preparing their premiere and recording, as well as their performing editions, suitable for publication. Her doctoral research is kindly supported by the British-Spanish Society, the Royal College of Music and the Frank Bridge Trust. 

Alongside this, she is delighted to be engaged in community music projects with early-years, young people, people living with dementia, refugees, women survivors of human trafficking, people in addiction recovery settings and in prisons; with organisations such as Wigmore Hall, Pan Intercultural Arts, Royal Opera House, Spitalfields Music, Creative Futures, and Liberty Choir UK. At present, she is also an assistant teacher in the "Music Leadership: Learning & Participation" module at the Royal College of Music. Moreover, Laura has been a Wigmore Hall Mentor for over two years, as well as one of the 2022 Soundcastle’s Sparking Change Bursary Award holders. 

Eunoia is the project she co-founded with violinist Inês Delgado in 2020. Together, they create immersive concerts, creative workshops and music meditation experiences where creativity, improvisation and connection with the audience are at the heart of it all. Regarding her previous academic studies, Laura graduated with a Master of Music in Performance (Distinction) at the Royal College of Music, with Mengyang Pan, Sofya Gulyak and Andrew Zolinsky. As part of her master’s final research project, she premiered two unheard solo piano works by Imogen Holst - thanks to the collaboration with Britten Pears Arts and the permission of The Holst Foundation - and prepared their performing editions, which were published by Faber Music. The connection with the RCM has lead her to play at various venues, including at the Speaker's House at the Houses of Parliament for the start of the Remembrance Day celebrations 2023.

Furthermore, she has had the opportunity to expand her knowledge through courses, masterclasses and concerts in Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, learning from pianists and referents in the world of performance such as Milana Chernyavska, Dmitri Alexeev, Akiko Ebi, Oleg Marshev, Ian Jones, Giorgi Latso, Miquel Farré, Maria Jesús Crespo and Ricardo Descalzo. Passionate about chamber music, she has shared the stage with a range of chamber groups, receiving advice from musicians including Yuri Zhislin, Julia Fischer, Gary Matthewman, Isaac Rodríguez, Manel Valdivieso and Harri Mäki.

Laura has been the recipient of further awards and grants throughout her career, including the RCM Musicians’ Grant Fund, the Piano Extraordinary Award and Chamber Music Extraordinary Award during her professional music studies in Spain, and the Award for Excellence in Academic Performance by the Council of Terrassa.
