Laura Bibby (she/they) is a Welsh-born, queer zine maker and writer of poetry and stories that weave her love of nature with the strange, fantastical, and ominous.
After graduating from Griffith University with a BA in Creative Writing, Laura volunteered at several literary magazines including Hecate, Moss Puppy and The Minison Project as a reader and editor. Her debut poetry chapbook A Knife In The Dark was published by indie chapbook publisher Bottlecap Press in 2022.
An avid zine maker, Laura has been selling her work on Etsy since 2012 and attends zine fairs when she can. She recently started a video game blog BabyGamer and her own literary magazine Strange Daze. She is working on the first book in a queer fantasy series which she hopes to self-publish soon.
When not writing, Laura enjoys listening to audiobooks, travelling, bike rides, knitting, junk journaling and losing herself in story-driven video games.
"I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land I live and work on - the Jagera and Turrbul peoples of Meanjin. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging."
