• I was looking for a top notch professional comedian with a wide range of experiences, particularly outside of my geographic area, who could provide a unique perspective, insights, and knowledge to help me expedite the refinement/enhancement of my existing material while also serving as a sounding board to provide thoughts and feedback as I work on putting my ideas into new bits and sets.

Mentorship as a comedian to build my one-hour show.

I really liked that Laura helped me with clear and concrete tools to create comedy and that she was open to my way of being and my sense of humor. She adapted very well. I appreciated the way she helped me keep growing in my own creation with her encouragement, analyzing my jokes and my style.

What did you need help with?

To see my mistakes, weak places in jokes and in presenting them. Explanations why certain jokes haven’t worked.

The most helpful part was rephrasing jokes to make them shorter and more understandable. Also, I got help with understanding cultural differences to make more precise jokes.
