LatWaves is an international symposium focused on observation, modelling and analysis of ocean waves. After four successful editions in Rio de Janeiro (2015 and 2016), Medellin (2018), and Uruguay (2022) the fifth edition of LatWaves will take place in “Quito, Ecuador”, on October 23-25 (2024).

The aims of the symposium are to facilitate discussion between researchers and postgraduate students in these fields and to foster collaboration among Latin-American and international researchers. To this end, the meeting is conducted in plenary, with plenty of time reserved for discussions.
