Here one can ask that what is the need of these all things?

It is required for all actually! As sir used to tell us that documentation is important. You have to record the things as Amitav Ghosh said in "Gun Island" that Dinanath Dutt has a habit of documenting things. What happened if you don't document things and only rely on memory? As we are studying Julian Barnes he said in "The Only Story" that,

"Memory sorts and sifts according to the

demands made on it by the rememberer. Do we have access to the algorithm

of its priorities? Probably not. But I would guess that memory prioritises

whatever is most useful to help keep the bearer of those memories going.

So there would be a self-interest in bringing happier memories to the

surface first. But again, I’m only guessing."

That is why documentation is important, we can't rely on only memory. So it is better to keep a record rather than illusionary truth which may be wrong.
