A list of all the digital devices that I'm using right now:
Main Laptop: Surface Pro 7
Personal phone: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Work phone: iPhone 15
Watch: Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (47mm)
Ears: Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
I talked abit about this on my podcast.
This is my main laptop that I do everything on. It's a bit of an odd choice since it's not a proper laptop. It is a tablet with a kickstand, and it does have the full functionality of a laptop or PC, with Intel Core i7 processor and Windows x64 OS (as opposed to ARM or Snapdragon).
I don't like to use the proprietary typecover, I find that it tends to run into connectivity issues. So I use my own bluetooth Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s keyboard and mouse. The advantage is that I get to leave the Surface on my desk and lean back and use the keyboard from the bed or something. The pen is also very good, I can use it for annotations, illustration and general pen input.
As it's starting to get a bit old and dated, my next one is probably gonna be the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, switching it up to full Samsung ecosystem for a change. Let's see.
This is my main phone that I use everyday. I also use it to record most of the footage for the projects that require it, as well as photography and social media.
The pen/stylus is really important to me, once I switched to the Note series I can't go back. The utility is immense, I use it for a lot of annotations and rough scratch workings, especially in the age of everything going more paperless.
I should really consider getting a main device for photography and videography if I do more of it.
I got a dedicated work phone in November 2024 and it was one of the best technological decisions at that time. Separating personal life and work Teams Outlook, really good idea. You should do it if you are in a position to.
I chose iPhone because I didn't really have an understanding or appreciation of the operating system, and I wanted to explore it further. I still dislike it, and I would never use it as my main personal phone. Good backup I guess. And good for certain rewards and stuff that are only limited to be claimed by one device.
I've been chasing the Galaxy Watch line since Watch 2 Active, and since Watch 3 Classic, the bezel is an extremely important source of haptic feedback and navigation.
Having a smartwatch is really convenient and underrated because as much as it sounds like an unnecessary step, the ability to check notifications without taking your phone out of your pocket is a really powerful removal of friction in day to day life.
Additional benefits include sleep tracking, health tracking, and fitness monitoring.
Been using Galaxy Buds since Buds 2 pro, and wireless earpieces are a real game changer, especially with active noise cancellation.
I didn't really like the aesthetics of Buds 3 pro, but the performance has been great so far. Being in the same Samsung ecosystem really helps with seamlessness too.
