We’re proud to share that LatinXDB’s first official event was a resounding success! During the ISDB/SDB/LASDB joint meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, we hosted a powerful panel discussion titled "Navigating the Transition to an Independent Position"
This event, held in memory of Camila Behrensen and Pablo Guzmán Palma and supported The Company of Biologists and Stowers Institute for Medical Research, brought together four inspiring Latinx scientists: Natalia Pabón Mora, Ariel Waisman, Daniel Ríos Barrera and Rosa Uribe, who generously shared their journeys, challenges, and advice with a packed room of attendees. The energy, solidarity, and openness in the room made it clear: our voices matter, and our stories resonate beyond our community.
