Latido, Spanish for "heartbeat," captures our music's essence – a vibrant fusion that compels you to move. Our sound is an exciting interplay of infectious melodies, rich harmonies, and captivating rhythms.

The Evolving Pulse of Latido

Latido's journey began with a dynamic collaboration between co-leaders Stefan Paolini and Lamine Thiam. Lamine's infectious West African djembe rhythms and traditional songs blended seamlessly with Stefan's pop-infused piano, creating the foundation of our sound. Together they crafted a unique soundscape that resonated with audiences.

Lamine left the project in early 2023. As we evolve, so does the rhythm that drives us forward. We've embraced our Latin influences even more, infusing original songs with rhythms inspired by the Americas. Our newest member, Eddie, brings a fresh perspective with his Puerto Rican-infused djembe playing, incorporating bomba and plena influences that seamlessly blend with Stefan's pop-infused piano, creating a dynamic and irresistible groove.

A Tapestry of Voices

Xiomara and Stefan are the heart of Latido's songwriting team. Xiomara brings her passion for Latin American music traditions, weaving tales of love, longing, and transformation into their original songs. Stefan's background in Classical, Rock, and Jazz adds a unique layer of depth and complexity to their compositions. Together, they craft a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new. Vinnie's electric guitar injects rock energy with hints of his Italian heritage, creating a captivating counterpoint to Stefan's piano grooves.  Jessica's harmonies add depth and richness to the sonic tapestry.
