Literacy Association of Tennessee (LAT) Diversity Committee Mission Statement

TRA Diversity Committee’s mission is to promote inclusion, equity, and access for students, educators, communities, and families of culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) backgrounds. In accordance with the International Literacy Association’s Framework for Literacy Education Reform (2016), we endorse policies and practices that recognize, embrace, and empower cultural, ethnic, religious, economic, gender, and additional diversities of children and families in the state of Tennessee.
