Last Emissary: Story

Our story is set in Herisya, a continent divided into factions that have been fighting each other for several years. A glimmer of hope for lasting peace seems to arise when two new Archons are elected, intent on working together to build a new world. Unexpectedly, you find yourself playing a crucial role to bring peace to Herisya. However, many will oppose your goal for different reasons, as power games and mysterious enemies will stand in your and your allies' way.

You are the renowned Commander of the most famous mercenary company in all Herisya: The Vipers. Your twisted fate will soon put the destiny of this world in your hands, as you will try to unite this shattered land and uncover ancient and forgotten mysteries.

Lore Bits

Living in Herisya sure comes with many hardships. Here, rulers are chosen only by overcoming difficult trials, mortal duels, and terrifying challenges. Good thing is, anyone can arise if strong or smart enough. The concept of legacy has no meaning in this Continent.

Herisya is divided into two main factions, each of them ruled by extremely powerful individuals known as Archons. In the middle of them, there are the mysterious Neutral Islands, ruled by their legendary Lord.

Each territory of Herisya is ruled by a Champion. They are elected only by overcoming several insidious challenges, usually related to the regional customs. Each Champion can be challenged at any time and, in the event of defeat or death, new trials are called. Each faction nominates its First Champion, the one who represents all the others in the eyes of the Archons.

The World

For very ancient reasons that have been long forgotten, magic permeates the whole land through shards.

They each contain a certain quantity of magic, which represents the main fuel of this Country and sometimes even its currency.

Out of all the classes, Mages can utilize shards to cast the most powerful spells. Their presence deeply influences flora and fauna.

In the north of Herisya, a gigantic mass of energy creates an impenetrable barrier along the whole perimeter that nobody can traverse. Trying to approach this fracture it's said to bring people to madness since the human mind can't process this distorted view.

Nobody has ever known what lies beyond it, and many think of it as a manifestation from the gods.
