What is Last Drive Football?
Last Drive Football is an organization that is bringing a spotlight to Canadian football players from the ages of 14 until they graduate high school. For many years now, the United States has been dominating the high school football scene, meaning that Canadian high school players would not be able to get the recognition they deserve. But we are sick of it now and want to see more Canadian football players at all levels of the game. So now this is where Last Drive Football comes into play. We are creating a platform for football players to get an opportunity to get to the next level in many different ways.
How do I get ranked?
Football players are ranked based on the submission of a form found on our homepage. Simply fill out the form and submit your game film, along with any additional footage you have. At Last Drive Football, we use a ranking system based on the value of the film provided. For instance, sending only practice clips will result in a lower ranking compared to those who submit high-quality game footage. Please consolidate all your clips into one video rather than sending multiple small clips. Our team will then analyze the footage and assign a ranking score which then corresponds with how many stars you have earned. Once ranked your ranking can then fluctuate until your class year is graduated.
How does the ranking work?
Scoring is straightforward: each player is assessed using our scoring chart tailored to their position. Our ranker assigns a score to each player based on this assessment. Once we determine a score that accurately reflects the player's performance, we award them stars based on the athlete's score. It's important to note that players' rankings are subject to change as their skills improve or change over time.
What is the scoring breakdown?
⭐️ x5
Score: 1.000 to 0.950
⭐️ x4
Score: 0.950 to 0.900
⭐️ x3
Score: 0.900 to 0.850
We no longer rank anything lower than a 3 ⭐️ if you're in the Class of '28 or lower
Why do I need to get ranked?
You do not need to get ranked to be able to be successful in football past the high school level; however, it sure does make it easier when you're being highlighted on one of the top-ranking sites in Canada. Many coaches from around U Sports and the CJFL use this site to get information about players from around Canada. Now you know why you should be ranked, so what are you waiting for?
