The LASERfIRE LASER Controller software and hardware is the result of over 25 years of work. The software is the long awaited PC version of the Amiga LASER software released as shareware many years ago.
The software converts text sequences into binary sequence data and downloads them to run independently on the LASERfIRE hardware. Because the sequences are run directly on the LASERfIRE hardware, you can do anything on the client PC without slowing up and causing visible interruptions to your LASER show. In fact, you can reset or even completely crash your client PC and the LASERfIRE hardware will not miss a single point! LASERfIRE is fast! It has 32 independent tracks of real time Rotation, 3D Spin, Roll, Morphing, Draw and Dissolving effects! LASERfIRE also has a powerful pattern generator built in, which will produce endless combinations of output patterns.
The client PC can control up to 32 independent hardware units over a standard Ethernet network using the TCP/IP protocol (serial port connected units is also supported). In fact, you can control your LASERs from anywhere in the world by using the Internet. So effectively you now simply connect your LASER head to the client PC using standard Ethernet hardware (Twisted pair cables, Hubs, Routers etc) and give your LASER head an IP address. No more long specialized cables which can cause ground loops and noise! You can even use standard wireless Ethernet hardware (WiFi) and never have to worry about cables again! Imagine controlling your next LASER show from a portable Laptop computer from any where in the venue or while you dance in the crowd.
LASERfIRE has all the tools you need integrated into the software to make LASER show design as quick and enjoyable as possible.
LASERfIRE LASER Controller is a Windows application and is provided for free.
LASERfIRE now supports the use of the Helios DAC hardware products and IDN compatible DAC hardware. You can also use my "build it yourself" DAC hardware for 100% compatibility. The instructions, parts list, schematic and photos are included in the zip.
Download the LASERfIRE LASER Controller software below and get started. There's no installer needed – just unzip to your preferred install location.

Before contacting me, please read the manual and hardware build instructions found within the software's "Help Menu" -> "Contents..." or the "LASERfIRE.pdf" file found in the Help folder.
Note: You may need to "Unblock" the "LASERfIRE.chm" file found in the Help folder to correctly display the help contents - please see the "ReadMe.txt" notes in the Help folder.
Note: If you get a LASERfIREHelios execution error because "VCRUNTIME140.dll" is missing or it crashes, then you will need to download and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable package. It is available to download here for x86 (32 bit) and x64 (64 bit). I recommend to download and install both the x86 and x64 packages.
