We engineer the interaction of light, heat, and materials to create new functionalities for energy and advanced manufacturing. Combining mechanical engineering and applied physics, our work develops laser-based processes for tailoring material structures and optical and thermal properties. Our research advances technologies for energy harvesting and storage, energy conversion, photonics, and biomedical and environmental applications.

We are actively recruiting undergraduate and graduate students (M.S., M.S./Ph.D., and Ph.D.) at Konkuk University. Students interested in gaining research experience during the fall or spring semester, or over the summer, are encouraged to contact us at minokpark@konkuk.ac.kr.
