Skeet – Machines
The Skeet range are two machines embedded within the 5 stand range which consists of total 21 machines. Facing the hills, on the left you will see the high house container and on your right the low house container.
In these locked containers the two skeet machines live. The machines are relatively new being replaced in 2024.
The high house and the low house are locked. To open each house you will need the current padlock combo. To obtain a combo you will need to do a machine orientation for the trap and skeet machine, held once a month, The combo should be the same for both the low and high house. Please do not share the combo with any untrained person as it could cause a serious or fatal injury.
Low House
Open the low house door (locked with same combination as the high house) The machine setup is the same in the low house and high house, other machines operate differently.
Look on the left the will be a pay bag, a sign in sheet and remotes.
a) PAY BAG - Most games shoot 25 birds and we charge for replenishment of the birds ($4/25 members and $5/25 non members or guests) Pay at the end of your shooting time – We currently use the honor system for amount to pay, place payment in the bags either in the low house, the trap house, or the 5 stand house..
b) The sign in sheet - In order to better service our shooters we need to know how many DIFFERENT people are shooting. While not perfect it gives us a better understanding of which courses get the most use and how to make improvements that serve the most members best.
c) The remote – You will need the remote or buy one of your own, to shoot skeet. Pressing the high house button will discharge a bird from the high house , Pressing the low house button will discharge a bird from the low house, Pressing the double will throw one from both high and low crossing each other . You will need to depress the high - low - and doubles buttons when shooting.
