"This City Wants Blood..." is the debut EP by La Sangre, a Chilean acoustic Latin punk rock duo from Berlin. Mixed and mastered by Rainer Scheffelt, with cover photography by Victor Galleguillos, the record includes four original songs and an acoustic version of “Carne para la Picadora” (1996) by the Spanish punk band La Polla Records.
Each song tells a story from the darker corners of life: “La Esquina” delves into drug abuse and self-destruction, “Sangre y Huesos” exposes the violence of love and obsession, “Hombre Lobo en Berlín” about the struggles of migration, and “Abandonado” speaks about the cruelty of abandonment and neglect. With just acoustic guitar, bass, and two voices, La Sangre mixes Latin melodies with punk attitude, keeping the sound raw and direct. The result is an honest and emotional EP about struggle, love, and the need to keep fighting.
