Born and raised in southern California, I left my hometown of Long Beach to begin my first year of undergraduate marine biology studies at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. I transferred to the University of Oregon for my sophomore year, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in marine biology with a minor in environmental studies at the end of 2023.
I began my Master of Science at Cal Poly Humboldt fall 2024, where I am working with Dr. Allison Bronson. My thesis is on the community structure of larval fishes within Humboldt Bay comparing with historic larval surveys, against abiotic factors (pH, salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen), and oceanic assemblages surveyed along the Trinidad Head Line.
Outside of academia, I enjoy reading and playing with my cat. I've picked up kickboxing again and started cooking more.
