Meet our Families

Our families make us who we are and are the reason for what we do.

Take the time to meet them and see what they say about L.A. Road Christian School.

Thoughts From Our Families

I send my children to LARCS because I like that they learn more about God.  They learn the fear of God, how to live together in a healthy way, and to not normalize sin.  I also appreciate how LARCS dedicates a lot of love to teach them.  One of my favorite Bible passages is Psalm 91 because I like to feel that God is with me in everything.

Things You Will Hear From Our Students

“It’s a good school and it’s a Christian school.  I’ve learned that in [God’s] power comes victory.”

-Damian, 5th grade

--

“[One thing I like] is the nice people like students and teachers, and how much fun we have.  We learn about God.  I learned how He is merciful and provides a way for us to be forgiven.”

-Jamie, 7th grade

--

“I love that I’m understanding things more because I’m older.  We can learn about the Lord while we study and we have Bible class.  I really want to learn a lot about the Lord and hopefully things will go easier as we study about Him.”

–Nayeli, 6th grade

--

Kindergartener, running to teacher and pointing at a bird flying overhead: “Look, Miss Meriah!  A shooting star!”

--

Teacher: [laughing with the class]

Kids: [having fun and laughing]

Student–who doesn't share his feelings much–to teacher: "I love you!”

--

Mr. Beiler, science teacher: “Now I want you to draw a conclusion.”

Student, while perplexedly assessing her artistic ability: “I don’t know how!”

--

Overheard in science class:

Teacher: What are aerobics?

4th grader:  Kingdom of air.

Teacher:  I think you’re getting health and Bible class mixed up!

--

Student, when realizing how old Mr. Beiler will be when he turns 20:  If you die, I’ll go to your funeral.  I’ll wear my best clothes and say goodbye.

--

When being introduced to World Book encyclopedias, a student proclaimed, “It’s like Google!”

--

Teacher:  What’s the best part of reading?

Student:  Learning new words!

Teacher:  What’s the worst part?

Student, after thinking for a long moment:  That there’s so many of them!

--

Overheard while a student was working on a project:  “And give us this day our daily bread, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger, and he shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
