The Los Santos Police Air Support Unit is a specialized division within the Los Santos Police Department, dedicated to enhancing law enforcement operations through aerial surveillance and support. This unit is responsible for providing critical aerial assistance in high-priority situations, including crime prevention, emergency response, and tactical operations. Utilizing state-of-the-art aircraft and advanced technologies, the Air Support Unit plays a vital role in improving situational awareness, coordinating with ground units, and ensuring the effective management of citywide incidents. The unit is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence to support the overall mission of the Los Santos Police Department and enhance community safety. 

Educational Background: 

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in aviation, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred, providing foundational knowledge relevant to air support operations and law enforcement.

Experience: 

A minimum of [5] years of experience in aviation, law enforcement, or a related field, with specific experience in aerial operations or flight support preferred. Prior experience with law enforcement or emergency services is advantageous.

Certification: Valid pilot’s license with appropriate ratings (e.g., commercial or private pilot license) if applying for a pilot role. For non-pilot positions, relevant certifications in aviation technology, air traffic control, or tactical operations are required.

Technical Skills: 

Proficiency in operating and maintaining aircraft and related technology, including navigation systems, communication equipment, and surveillance tools. Strong understanding of aerial operational procedures and safety protocols.

Communication and Coordination: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise reports, coordinate effectively with ground units, and interact professionally with other law enforcement agencies. Strong teamwork and leadership abilities are essential for successful unit operations.
