The Large Language Research Group (LaRGo) is based at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. This group contains and encourages researchers from the fields of computer science, linguistics, and mathematics. Our group focuses on cutting-edge research in Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and Data Science. We are working collaboratively to study, analyze, and reproduce language models. We also address important ethical issues, such as bias and fairness in language generation, that, if solved, will make these models much more impactful for solving real-world problems. Our applied research aims to explore mostly the intersection of large language models with law, literature, and Machine Learning applications, demonstrating their impacts in the public sphere to tackle real-life research issues.
