About Me

"Whatever you are, be a good one."

I am an explorer and an environmentalist seeking new opportunities to communicate science and discover the world. I’m particularly interested in Earth science, but have written about everything from AI and cybersecurity to space and deep sea exploration.

I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in environmental systems, with an emphasis in ecology, behavior, and evolution, and a minor in German studies. In 2017, I published a paper with faculty from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography while living in the Maldives as a Marine Center Supervisor. I have since written for the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Stanford University News Service, the Monterey Herald, and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

I have a master's degree in Science Communication from UC Santa Cruz and am currently working full-time as a Digital Communications Strategist for NASA's Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley.
