I started by making scans of my classmates, and scanned a tree in a local park. I went on to AutoDesk MeshMixer and molded a shape to fit my scan of the tree. I imported all of my face scans and unioned them to my shape. Then, I exported my file into Rhino7 so I could process the file to 3D print it on the Z18 MakerBot printer. Once I printed it, I sanded, spraypainted, and painted it with acrylic and installed it in the park.
Rhino7 Render ~ 2022
Hinge print-in-place with Rhino7
Space alien scene print in place with multiple moving parts with Rhino7. "The Mothership" is a screw that comes out and all components can move around the outer disk and also rotate in place. The balls surrounding the scene can also rotate around everything. The "take me to your leader" flag is a working hinge.
