Lindau Alumni Retreat 2019

September 19–22

Heidelberg, Germany

Welcome to our website!

The second “Lindau Alumni Retreat” will take place in the beautiful city of Heidelberg from 19–22 September 2019. This annual retreat was first launched in 2018 with the goal to gather scientists who attended the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings (Physiology and Medicine) from around the world.

Our first retreat took place in Frankfurt am Main with 12 Lindau alumni and we covered several life science areas, such as immunology, genetics, oncology and neuroscience. Our format features oral presentations of current research by the participants and open discussions about broad science-related topics, as well as several occasions for networking. We are supported by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings and it is an important aspect of our retreat to host participants coming from Germany and abroad.

Our three-day event will embody the "Lindau Spirit". We are setting up an interesting scientific program with plenty of time to discuss our research but also broader topics – like in Lindau. Moreover, we are happy to announce that a Nobel Laureate, Prof. Harald zur Hausen, will join us on Friday, the 20th of September 2019!

Please note:

Our conference is a friendly get-together with an unofficial charakter. We are private organizers (no organization, no association) and therefore we cannot provide for documents that will be recognized by tax authorities.
