Langtree Charter Academy is proud to be a partner with Mitchell Community College to bring tuition-free college courses to our Junior and Senior Students!
Overview of CCP:
Career & College Promise Dual Enrollment gives eligible North Carolina high school students the opportunity to get a "jump start" and earn college credit toward a two-year or four-year degree at Mitchell while still in high school. Tuition free. Career & College Promise offers high school students the following academic pathways:
Dual Enrollment College Transfer Pathways: four different pathways designed to meet your general educational requirements for a four-year college degree.
Dual Enrollment Career and Technical Pathways: more than 50 different pathways created to help you get a head start on a great career. You can earn college credits toward a job credential, certificate, or diploma in a technical career.
In order to be eligible to apply for the Career & College Promise program, a student must be:
must be a high school junior or senior
must have at least an unweighted high school GPA of 2.8 or benchmark assessment scores in all areas of English, Reading, and Math
How to Apply!
Registration for dual enrollment classes at Mitchell Community College Classes has closed for Fall 2024! Please contact your counselor as MCC is still accepting applications on a rolling basis. Since course registration has passed, we cannot guarantee that students will be able to enroll in any classes for the Fall semester.
Annual Application Timeline:
Rising 11th and 12th grade students have the opportunity to apply for the Career and College Promise program through Mitchell Community College each February. The application typically opens at the beginning of February each year and students have until the end of the month to complete and submit the application.
Students must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered.
Students must submit a completed application, with student and parent signature, and a LCA CCP contract.
