Welcome to the L. A. Nelson Art Room!

I have been teaching elementary art for 31 years and I still love it as much as I did that first terrifying day!

I follow the Teaching for Artistic Behaviors philosophy for students in K-5 grades in which learners direct their own creative process through choice, flexible work groups, self reflection and creative problem solving.
