Volunteer Easement Monitor Program

About VEMP

The Forest Society protects land through ownership (our Reservations) and through conservation easements and deed restrictions on privately owned land. The easement stewardship team is obligated to monitor all of the conservation easements and deed restrictions, which total over 130,000 acres, every year. In 2016, the VEMP (Volunteer Easement Monitor Program) was started to help monitor these lands.
