Snowboarding

One of my favorite hobbies is snowboarding. I started snowboarding in 2016 after I had already been skiing for many years before that. Since then, I have found myself waiting for the Winter season to start snowboarding again. I have been able to save myself enough funds to purchase all the equipment necessary to snowboard (No more renting! :D). I love going with family and friends as a time to make memories and show off my skills. However, I also enjoy going by myself to really focus on improving. I don't like to wait for my peers to want to join me for the prefect powder day; I enjoy the sport enough to go as long as the mountain is open. Nothing can stand in my way!

I have also been interested in purchasing cheap snowboard and refurbishing them. The pink cow print snowboard is one I painted for my partner. Since then I have bought several used boards and bindings to add to my collection and hopefully be able to sell some amazing looking boards.

Eagle Scout

I started my Boy Scouts journey when I was fourteen years old. I have made life long friends and unforgettable memories with the Troop 284. I learned an immense amount of knowledge while I worked towards the rank of Eagle Scout. I am happy to call myself a part of the life long brotherhood as an Eagle Scout. I would also like to showcase my Eagle Scout project. I coordinated the refurbishment of a 9-11 memorial at St. Anthony's High School. The Images below showcase some of the labor needed for this project to come to life. Additionally, I coordinated fundraising events, BoM and sourced out all the supplies.

Ultimate Frisbee Club

I have been a member of the Stony Brook University Ultimate Frisbee club since my freshman year. I first found an interest in Ultimate through my Boy Scouts troop. Since that day I have created a Frisbee club at St. Anthony's High School and then captained for Stony Brook's team. I love the sport and am excited to continue to play throughout my life.

LEAN Manufacturing

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern I have taken on a strong interest and skill set for LEAN Manufacturing. I have made many initiatives to implement the 5S method into the workspace lifestyle at UES. I have also been the team lead in training other interns and technicians on LEAN Manufacturing and 5S. As I continue to implement LEAN into the warehouse, UES's manufacturing process will be affected by continuous improvement.
