I've been trying to fixe some darkface issues with my game and I tracked the source down to my smashed patch, but when I load it into the creation kit to run facegen, it always comes back with an unspecified fatal error. Looking into it the source seems to be that the creation kit is physically unable to load all the masters to the patch due to space limitations, so now I'm wondering if there is a way to export facegen data without the use of the creation kit.

After a few mins i figured out what's wrong.

Actually the mod i edited already came with same facegen data, i just edited those and some others "actors" that were not included.

the thing that confused me was the number of files, it was less then there was supposed to be.

In order to solve the infamous black face bug I tried exporting facegen for some NPCs. However, now my game crashes whenever said NPCs come into view. Anyone knows why this happens? I tested this with both vanilla and modded NPCs. The crashes go away when I delete the exported facegen meshes but then the black face bug returns.

When I Control + F4 to export facegen, I get the prompt and it tells me "Done" ... but no files are actually created. They aren't in my actual Skyrim folder (I have no meshes folder at all there) and they aren't in my overwrite folder, either, where MO would normally put things.

I used the Creation Kit to export the facegen data for JK's Skyrim, with HMB loaded alongside (but with JK's as the active plugin). It exported correctly, as far as I can tell. No errors, all the files showed up in Overwrite.

After exporting facegen textures from the GECK by pressing CTRL+F4 with the NPC records highlighted (note, you must be in the NPCs category in the Object Viewer, not in the All category, or else CTRL+F4 will not produce output), the output files from the GECK consist of both DDS and TGA files. 589ccfa754
