I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation and testimony for Nicole Carbone, Director of Lancaster Family Farm: Outdoor Preschool.

I have worked with, and watched Nicole teach, at Hidden Villa for the last two years. I would send my own child to her outdoor preschool, if he wasn’t already an adult! I remember how scary it was, entrusting my son to strangers, when we were making decisions about his preschool. Take it from me, a 25-year child welfare worker and seasoned mom - your child will be in great hands with Nicole (and Marie)!

Nicole has a wonderful way of engaging with children and teaching them about nature. Her energy is boundless, and she is highly enthusiastic and works well with all kinds of temperaments and learning styles. She is sensitive to each child’s needs and is incredibly patient and kind.

Nicole is highly knowledgeable about so many facets of nature, from the farm, to animals, to the wilderness and beyond. I have learned a lot from her and watch in awe as she develops interesting curriculum and not only teaches it to our children, but also to our teachers and interns.

Nicole is reliable, dependable, shows up on time, and is a great communicator. You’ll always hear back from her in a timely way and will know what to expect for your child’s daily routine and activities. She will excitedly share all your child has done, and discoveries they have made throughout their days with her. Nicole his highly trustworthy and honest.

Nicole is highly creative and imaginative. Your child will never be bored, but always be wonderfully challenged with new opportunities for exploring and learning. Nicole is always learning new things herself and your child will benefit from her abundant sense of curiosity and wonder.

Lastly, Nicole is very family oriented. She has a wonderful relationship with her mother, whom I’ve have the privilege of knowing…together they are a warm, exuberant, loving, intelligent, and experienced business and teaching team. Nicole highly values her own family and will value yours with care.
